Model kit *** CONSTELLATION - 1964 - US Defender
Constellation was designed by Olin Stephens, who had already conceived other America's Cup winners such as the "J" Class Ranger (1937) and 12-metre Class Columbia (1958). Constellation had a wooden hull and a overall windage of 1690 square meters. R.N. Bavier, the skipper, lead Constellation to victory winning over Sovereign, the British contender.
Pre-built resin hull, high quality wooden deck, brass photoetched parts, metal and resin fittings, cloth sails, detailed instructions booklet and construction plans.
Scale 1/35, total length 60 cm, height 85 cm.
